LPL adds $200 million to father/daughter team from Edward Jones


LPL Financial has added a father-daughter advisor team in Flowood, Miss., managing about $200 million in client assets. Dan and Olivia Countiss, who have launched their new practice, Countiss Wealth Management, are joined by Edward Jones.

The team, which serves nearly 500 families and business owners, also includes Investment Analyst Chandler Duke and Client Associate Christy Walker.

Countiss was attracted to LPL for its financial planning software, technology and ability to provide advice on clients' 401(k) plans.

“With the 401(k) being the number one retirement savings vehicle, clients have been looking for advice on how to invest their 401(k) dollars, and Countiss Wealth Management will now be able to help clients with this important part of their finances. photo,” Olivia Countiss said in a statement.

Dan Countiss became a consultant at Edward Jones in 2010 after owning a business and selling it. His experience gave him the ability to guide business owners through similar transitions. Olivia Countiss joined her father in 2015.

This follows news earlier this week that LPL recruited another father and daughter team with approximately $290 million in assets from Morgan Stanley. James and Amanda Zack launched the Zack Wealth Group under the model of LPL's employee advisor Linsco from LPL Financial.

Last week, the independent broker/dealer added First Summit Capital Managementa team of advisers in Wilmington, Del., with about $380 million in assets, from PNC Investments.
