Jack Dorsey, the billionaire co of Twitter, now Xpredicts that within the next decade, it will be harder than ever to tell the difference between what's real and what's fake – and he has a top tip for dealing with a reality that feels like a simulation .
Sunday, Dorsey talked about technology and freedom in Festival of the Suna music festival in Tuscany, Italy.
At the end of his presentation, Dorsey said that we “won't know what's real and what's fake” in the next five to 10 years because of the proliferation of fake images and videos, or deepfakesout there.
“It will be almost impossible to tell,” he said. “It'll feel like you're in a simulation.”

Dorsey's advice was to believe nothing—not even what he said—and try and verify everything for yourself.

“The only truth you have is what you can verify for yourself, with your own experience,” Dorsey said.

According to Dorsey, anyone who interacts with technology needs to be more conscious of their digital footprint.
Dorsey also called for more open source AI models, or AI that is less of a black box with more transparent mechanisms – such as how does it work and what has been trained IN.
Making AI open source is something Musk has also supported. In March, Musk's xAI startup open-sourced artificial intelligence pattern behind its flagship chatbot with AI Grok.
