Tesla is reportedly rehiring employees fired by Supercharger


Weeks after the bombshell news that Elon Musk quit the entire Tesla supercharger overnightseveral executives and team members are said to be being asked to return to the company.

Musk is said to have brought back director of tariffs for North America Max de Zegher, one of 500 employees let go, according to Bloombergwhich cited people familiar with the matter.

The media did not specify how many employees had been asked to return to work, but noted that there were more than one.

For de Zegher's LinkedInhis position is still listed as “Director – Charger, North America at Tesla,” a position he's held for nearly two years.

Last month's vacation left a lot employees “shocked” when told their positions were untenable.

Tesla reported a 9% quarterly revenue decline during its Q1 2024 earnings call last month, the biggest drop the company has seen since 2012.

Earlier this month, college students reported that the electric vehicle company revoked their offers for summer internships just weeks before they were scheduled to begin without explanation.
