International Franchise Association (IFA) The Convention is the world's largest gathering of exclusivity professionals, uniting business owners, leaders and managers of the industry to exchange knowledge and form the future of exclusivity.
This year, Convention It was held February 10-13 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. As a first -time participant, I was not sure what to expect, but I soon realized it Success in IFA It depends on the preparation, participation and a willingness to engage beyond planned sessions.
Here are five main receipts from my first IFA experience:
This is unlike IFE
IFA can be overwhelming, especially for the first time. I have participated in the IFE show in New York twice, but this is another animal. IFA highlights suppliers, leadership and networking. Fortunately, Trevor Rappley From the exclusivity filming published a useful Before the event, and I found that invaluable advice. Drafting from which sessions to attend in advance, identifying speakers and key exhibitors and setting clear objectives made the navigation much more manageable.
Those who arrived with a game plan benefited as much as possible from their time in Las Vegas. Those who did not spend their time tried in front of the electronic or injured old -legged play cars in the Lounge area, overwhelmed by the size and extension of the event.

Participate as much as you can
Is seductive to adhere to only a few sessions or spend a lot of time in your cabin but the true value of Ifa is in the width of the content available. The agenda included information panels, key speeches, and break -sessions that covered everything, from policy updates to exclusivity increases, all of top industry leaders.
Starting with the reception of the participants for the first time, I was surprised with how much penetration and expertise was separated. Our round table – which included reps from Circle k BY Citrin Cooperman – led by Steve Beagelman, CEO I SMB exclusivity advisers and Elyse Lupine, President and Founder of Elysium marketing group. They answered all our questions, offered helpful tips, and made everyone speak and mix. He decided Toni for the rest of the congress for me, and I was grateful to be involved.
The accompanying app also allowed for easy, user -friendly planning and helped me keep me organized throughout the event.
He was the word word
Artificial intelligence dominated the IFA conversation, and one of the great things about such a world -class organization is for you to hear from true industry leaders, such as Google'S Nadia Carta and Golden fish swimming school CTO Dennis Leskowski.
The super sessions devoted to him in marketing, client engagement and operational efficiency, proving that franchisors and exclusivity are equally eager to integrate the tools into their businesses. Whether they were chatbots, predictive analytics or training platforms led by him, the consensus was clear: those who embrace it will gain a competitive advantage in the industry, while those who will not find success little and far away.

Drink or not drink?
Had an abundance of alcohol available in IFA – it it Was Vegas, after all – but there were also a noticeable number of people who chose not to drink, even in social settings. I saw a lot from Congress early in the morning in the gym.
Indeed, as entrepreneur recently reportedMany business leaders are choosing to completely eliminate alcohol from their lives, citing better focus, DECISION and an increased sense of control. This was certainly visible in IFA. Although there were many drinks, those of us who chose not to have been left with any opportunity.
Networking occurs everywhere
Some of my most productive conversations did not occur in planning reticulation Events – they happened in unexpected places. From chatting with franchisors in line in subway After a long day to expose the corridor discussions and hotel lobes, I quickly learned that the chances of connecting are everywhere.
Being open to meeting people outside the official premises made my IFA experience even more valuable.
