In November 2024, a month short of the Thanksgiving holiday, 46 new ETFs were listed in the U.S. That was slightly lower than the monthly average of 60 new listings.
Table 1 summarizes the bond ETFs listed in the US in November. This included the first set of corporate grade bond ETFs listed in the United States. These products, such as iShares iBonds 1-5 Year Corporate ETF (LDRC)automate bond grade exposure for investors using equal weighted exposure to five iBond ETFs.
Equity ETF listings in November
Table 2 summarizes the equity ETFs listed in the month, with eight of the new products being ETFs. The buffered category, or defined score, has now grown to 328 ETFs with $58 billion in assets as of November 30, 2024. The launches also included some with unusual names Fundstrat Granny Shots US Large Cap ETF (GRN)managed by renowned fund manager Tom Lee. The name refers to an unconventional free-throw style of basketball, a reference to the fund's methodology of using a combination of fundamental and quantitative factors.
Multi-asset ETF listings in November
Multi-asset category without the start of Atlas America Fund (USAF), advised by the well-known economist Dr. Nuriel Roubini. The fund is designed to address challenges such as currency volatility and geopolitical risks. It was one of four multi-asset ETFs listed in November.
