Cause of death of Wells Fargo employee who died at desk revealed


On Friday, August 16, Denise Prudhomme, 60, was scanned at work in the Wells Fargo office in Tempe, Ariz. And she never scanned it.

Four days later, her body was discovered on her desk.

An employee who remained unnamed told him KPNX – NBC News that some people in the building complained of a “bad smell,” but it was “passed off as faulty plumbing.”

On Friday, the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office determined she died of “sudden cardiac death in the setting of myocardial fibrosis.” The people reports. Police had previously determined there were no signs of foul play.

Wells Fargo said USA Today that Prudhomme was sitting in a “highly underpopulated area” of the office, which was on the third floor.
