Massmutual subsidiary adds $ 325m to two teams


Touchstone Wealth, a Massmutual -related firm, has added five advisers and four support staff to two teams in the southwest, managing a $ 325 million combined in customer assets.

Touchstone has recruited two Russellville, Ark -based advisers, Shane Knoernschild and David Thielke, from the investment management of Thrior. They are joined by four staff members.

Three advisers in the Scottsdale, Ariz area, also join the touchstone. Trey Vineyard, Michael Friedman and Kristen O'Dell were previously with Vininy, a RIA founded by Vineyard in 2019. In Touchstone, Vineyard will serve as chief of team planning and wealth strategy. Friedman will lead investment sharing, and O'Dell will work to integrate financial planning divisions, victims of assets and trust services.

“Advisers who choose to represent Massmutual enjoy a strong supporting system supported by national sources of massmutual,” said Vaughn Bowman, head of wealth management with Massmutual, in a statement. “They also have access to extensive investment and protection offers through an open architecture environment that provides high -level solutions along with an investment advisory platform built to meet modern customer needs.”

Advisors come under the independent mediator/trader of Massmutual and the RIA MML Investor Services subsidiary, which currently manages $ 274 billion in $ 6,500 financial advisers.
