Here, Packer speaks with entrepreneurwith Regarding the concepts in the book, what one of his early work taught him about business and how entrepreneurs who feel kept by finances or life circumstances can move forward.

In your book, “Who Better than You?”, You write it in 1994 about your first independent movie premiere, “City of Chocolate”, a story of college life in a HBCU presenting your Alma and many of your classmates, you reserved the first line of the VIP Theater, but was empty at the time of the show. Celebrities did not appear. How did you move on?
The whole first line I had saved for Hollywood celebs was empty, but every other place in that audience was filled. It was filled on the lips with students who could not expect to see themselves on the screen. Whether you are talking about an independent film or any other project or effort, especially if it is an entrepreneurial effort, you need to understand that you keep the key, you keep your power and your dream is not over until you say it's over.

How do you know it wasn't over?
Having a great idea for something is like having perfect shoes for a marathon. You are in the finish line, you have the right shoes, they fit well, you have socks, but you still have 26.2 miles to run. This is the job you need to decide. Our success depends on a single person and the system of faith, and that is yours.

The subtitle of “Who better than you?” It is “the art of healthy arrogance and great dreaming”. What is “healthy arrogance?”
I have worked with many successful people. One feature that many have in common is this belief that their success is predetermined, that they are thoughtful Being successful. The way you control your destiny is realizing that there is no one better than you. No one on this planet deserves more success than you. This is no. 1, you need to start there. I believe in healthy arrogance because the most successful people I am around have that healthy arrogance.

How does someone come from healthy arrogance to take the first step?
If you are afraid of that first step and you are preparing for it and find yourself in a position where all you can do is prepare and that is what you have done over and over, now is the time to go. Now is the time to take the step. Nothing wrong with preparation, but do not be paralyzed by it.

One of your early work was the sale and distribution of newspapers, Atlanta Journal-Constitution. What did you learn at work and how would you implement it in business?
All with any position of power or importance are being sold constantly. On my way to becoming a director, I would submit newspapers from 3am to 6am because I could do it at a free time and then I would continue to work and follow Hollywood's dream during day. One of the things I learned from that experience is that everything is sale.

Does what does “all be the sale”?
Once they open that door, you need to have an opening immediately and say better to get their attention. The same goes for business. You may have a little longer when sitting with someone with a pitch, but you better make sure you are making them feel like you are not wasteing their time and that their time has improved, their day has improved.
