Apple will pay you to hack its Apple intelligence servers


Last week, Apple posted about new security research challenge for hackers to try and test the security of the company's newly opened hosting servers Apple Intelligence the features.

If you are successful, you can win up to 1 million dollars.

Apple is trying to protect it Private cloud computing servers (PCC), which will process certain Apple Intelligence requests, from bad actors and cyber attacks, ZDNet reports.

The company is looking to identify vulnerabilities in three main areas: accidental data disclosures, external compromises from user requests, and physical or internal access, depending on the outlet.

Apple Guide, The Private Guide to Cloud Computing Securityexplains the facts of how PCC works for anyone who thinks they can hack the system. ZDNet notes that Apple tested the system with internal experts and other researchers ahead of the launch of Apple Intelligence on Monday.

Remote attack on request data:

  • Arbitrary code execution with arbitrary rights – 1 000 000 dollars
  • Accessing a user's request data or sensitive information about the user's requests outside the trust boundary – 250,000 dollars

Attack data on demand from a privileged network position:

  • Accessing a user's request data or other sensitive information about the user outside the boundary of trust – $150,000
  • Ability to execute unauthenticated code – 100,000 dollars
  • Accidental or unexpected disclosure of data due to deployment or configuration problem – 50,000 dollars
