With less than three months to go election daynational polls show an extremely tight race between Vice President Kamala Harris and ex President Donald Trump. The latest from Five thirty eightThe poll tracker, which aggregates national and statewide polls, shows Harris nationally leading Trump by a narrow margin of 3.3 points, at 47% to Trump's 43.7%.
The state of the economy and its future is at the forefront of Democratic and Republican voters, so we asked the entrepreneurial community who they thought was best for small businesses with polls posted on X and Instagram.
The results found a stark contrast to national polls, with Trump winning by wide margins on both platforms. Of the 422 votes cast in X, Trump won with 69.7% of the vote. Similarly, on Instagram, out of 389 votes cast, 66% were in favor of Trump.

Neither candidate has yet released a detailed economic plan for small businesses, but at a campaign stop in Pennsylvania this week, Trump told the audience“Our plan will massively cut taxes, unlock American energy, reduce regulations, the big factor, crack down on trade cheats and stop outsourcing, rebuild our industrial base and bring them back beautiful words – Made in USA.”

Harris, who has been criticized for not sitting down for any major interviews since announcing her candidacy, announced proposals for her first 100 days in office, which include promises to “cut taxes on the middle class, reduce food costs, tackle rising prices, lower the cost of owning and renting a home, to continue to lower prescription drug costs, and to ease medical debt for millions of Americans.”
