mark Zuckerberg thinks the next moment of breaking the frame in technology, comparable to the first google search OR Facebook friend request, it will be of Meta holographic glasses.
“We're almost ready to start showing the prototype version of the full holographic glasses, and it's wild,” Zuckerberg said in a June interview with YouTuber Callaway. “Every single person I've shown this to, their reaction is amazing.”
Holographic glasses transform the user's full field of vision into a three-dimensional space. Zuckerberg painted a picture of himself as a full hologram, or 3D digital avatar, sitting on Kallaway's living room sofa.

“And it's not just a video call, it's not just like there's a screen and you're there as a hologram,” he said. “We'll be able to interact. So you want to play cards, it's a hologram, we're interacting.”
Artists can create art together and content creators can collaborate on new projects like holograms, Zuckerberg explained.
The technology will come at a price, although the exact cost is unspecified at this time.
Zuckerberg stated that the fully holographic glasses would cost “significantly more” than the $300 Ray-Ban Meta glasses on the market, and that Meta is not planning to sell the glasses to everyone at once.
“We're focused on building the full consumer version of it rather than selling the prototype,” he said.
Meta still aims to demonstrate what the prototype can do for the general public – something Zuckerberg said he was “really looking forward to”.
Another example of a product that breaks the box, according to Zuckerberg, is Meta's upcoming neural strips. Futuristic wristbands pick up brain signals without the need for wires or anything connected to the brain, with the goal of one day performing tasks like typing and controlling a computer mouse.
Zuckerberg said the possibility of paradigm-shifting products like holographic glasses and neural strips sets the technology apart from other fields.
“In a lot of other fields, you can do the same thing for a long period of time, whereas in technology, every now and then something comes along and it just unleashes all these new possibilities and you have to rethink what you have.” it is doing,” he said.
Meta is currently a leader in the virtual reality industry, drawing 37.2% AR/VR market share in Q1 2024 compared to Apple's 17%.
