This includes Siri access and work with other Apple applications based on a simple command. Another Siri improvement coming next year is Siri's context understanding, or the ability to interpret what an iPhone user is looking at.

In the fall, Siri will still be loaded with ChatGPT and will have a design change, but the voice assistant will lack those key contextual features, according to Gurman.

The Siri update won't be complete until developers beta test the features starting in January and Apple releases the update publicly in spring 2025, according to the same report.

The Bloomberg report is consistent with Apple's public statements.
