On Tuesday, Disney announced that Genie+ will now be called Multipass Lightning, which gives parkers a chance to purchase Lightning Lane passes up to a week in advance for their favorite attractions, while also adding the option of a Multi-Pass, allowing parkers to pre-book up to three attractions at a time .

“The Lightning Lane Multi Pass will replace the Disney Genie+ service, and the Lightning Lane Single Pass will replace individual à la carte entry to Lightning Lane,” Disney explained in its release. Guests staying at Disney World Resort Hotels can book time up to a week in advance, while regular visitors can book up to three days in advance. The new change to the system will come into effect on July 24.
Disney has not yet announced how much the new Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass features will cost, but it is noted that Genie+ services cost an additional $15 per Disney World guest.
