Kimberly Sanders followed a typical path to financial services, earning a degree in finance and working for a variety of banks and brokerage firms. When she became pregnant, she made the decision to stay at home for eight years to raise her children. But when it came time to get back to work, the road wasn't so smooth.
For Anna Howard, her path into the industry was driven by a desire to gain validation from her father, also a financial services executive. Later in her career, she realized the path she took and focused on building a more authentic and fulfilling life for herself. She and her husband recently went through a years-long process to become foster parents, so now they are managing four children, two of whom have special needs, while working full-time.
