Lauren Sánchez has found herself in the public eye thanks to her high-profile engagement to the billionaire founder of Amazon. Jeff Bezos — and now a national news outlet is looking for a dedicated reporter to cover her every move.
The Daily Beast announced that it is looking to hire a full-time veteran reporter to cover Sánchez and her day-to-day dealings—from business to social to space.
“The Beast plans to cover tech moguls and their ecosystem as part of the site's return to its roots as a 'smart tabloid,'” per Axios.
This follows the trends of other publications, such as USA today AND tennessean, which they employed specialized Taylor Swift AND Beyonce journalists in an effort to ensure that full coverage of the topic is reported.

Not much is known about the specifics of the role, although Joanna Coles, the medium's new chief content officer, wrote on Instagram that she was accepting applications via editorial@thedailybeast.comand told him New York Post that benefits and salary will be comparable to other senior positions listed in the company, which range between $100,000 and $200,000.
“I have never seen anyone land on the radar of Americans as quickly and brilliantly as Lauren Sánchez.” said Coles, who is the former chief content officer of Hearst Magazine. “I am so excited to discover everything about her. There is no detail too small for me not to be fascinated.”
Sanchez is a licensed pilot and former television announcer who currently serving as Vice President of the Bezos Earth Fundwhich just announced that it is donating $100 million for AI efforts fighting climate change.
