As fast food prices continue to rise, many customers have taken to social media to complain — and some are finding affordable options in unexpected places.
In a viral TikTok that has been viewed over 1.2 million times, Eason Trbojevic said that eating at his local Chili's is now cheaper than going to McDonald's.

Trbojevic blamed alleged “price gouging” as his reason for leaving fast food behind, and shared that the “3 for me” deal at Chili's allows customers to choose an appetizer, drink and meal for about $11. (According to Chile websitedeal starts at $10.99.)

“You get your drink, your fries, your burger and fries,” he tells viewers. A text overlay that says, “Chili's is cheaper than McDonald's, but nobody's here.”
Some commenters were “shocked” to find out how much cheaper the bill was at Chili's.
“Def prefer these chain restaurants,” wrote one. “I go to Applebee's and spend less than McDonald's.”
“A landing now has the same prices as here,” said another.
It's unclear which McDonald's Trbojevic went to first, but the chain does offer one $1 $2 $3 menuwhich could theoretically offer a meal at a lower price than Chili's.

Last summer, a McDonald's vacation spot in Darien, Connecticut it went viral after a found customer exposed the menu's higher-than-normal prices, which included a 10-piece McNugget order for a whopping $18.29 and a McCrispy sandwich for $17.99.
McDonald's did not immediately respond of the entrepreneur request for comment.
